This is clearly not tea or coffee. And I don’t even mean to dilute the essence of this collection. But what do I do when this was a tea-equivalent in my travels there? A much cheaper equivalent I should say. Cause my daily budget would surely not allow me to sit down at every other restaurant and order a cup of tea/coffee.
Almdudler is a lemonade for them and they mix it in every cocktail/mocktail that needs mixing. It is also quite refreshing and tasty when had on its own. Which is what I did on this really hot day in Vienna.
This is the view from the beautiful balcony of our apartment house in wolfgangsee. To the left is the famous lake, to the right are some funny shaped mountains and to the front is the last of the clouds.
This is from a mountain refuge at 2400 mts. It is super modern hut which was heated, had faux-fur seat covers and a husky-like dog called Akira.
A totally surreal experience after trekking up for 2 hours and entering so much comfort. And then getting to see this view from a huge glass window. And to add to it, some baileys coffee and whipped cream. We didn’t really want to leave but those clouds made us.

This needs a mention even though it is not tea or coffee because I made the judgement error of asking for Schnapps instead of a regular coffee. And I asked her to fill the whole glass. The woman at the counter was so astonished with my choice and amount that she decided to give it to me without charge.
So, under pressure I had to finish the entire glass. And it was pretty strong. So strong that for the next 4 hours I found everything “sooo pretty”. But then, everything was pretty.
We stopped for loo at this petrolpump-loo-cafe place, never expecting such lovely surroundings.
