The preparations for tonight’s feast is so excitedly underway. We are happy to just observe. But the villagers being such great hosts offer us, the guests, warm glasses of tea. And smile shyly.

45 minutes of inspection of the immediate surroundings led us to this little balcony, where we settled for tea and books.

I usually never bother with the view till we are past the last prayag, but at times, some random things tend to come together to form a pretty picture.

That oh-so-similar blue table made of wooden planks and that typical dhaba glass made we realise that I have come a full circle in my teadom project (refer to koksar photo, the first of the project). It is going to be 2 years, and it makes me wonder if it is time to bring down the sun on the travelling-teadom! sigh!. — at kheer ganga.

"integrated high power stereo cassette player". Didn’t really try to find out if that works, but the buttons were immensely press-able and JUST the perfect prop for place so surprising. A 4-hour annoyingly up-and-down trek leads to green meadow at the height of more than 3000 mtrs that serves pizza. And spaghetti, among other things.

Two women and a lot of knitting. A place we mistook for a roadside-dhaba and offered money for the LOVELIEST fresh mint tea. Obviously, noone took our money.

Long past Mandi, the clouds started having some effect without actually shedding a drop of water. We had gained some height, and the nip in the air and the smell of pines were welcomed with our heads jutting out of open windows. Cannot go without mentioning the totally awesome omlettes at this inconspicuous village, we only learned the name of which on our way back. Of course, after more omlettes.
